AuRA™ Now Available
as an Application Service Provider (ASP)
La Jolla, CA — August 25, 2003
MIRO Technologies and MainTrack Services BV (MTS) have teamed with
T-Systems to make the AuRA™ Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul
(MRO) software solution available as an Application Service Provider
(ASP). The service already has five launch customers that include
regional airlines and third-party MRO facilities. The first customer,
EQM Airlines based in the Netherlands is already into the implementation
phase.
"This is an important step in MIRO's developing business
strategy," said Vincent Monteparte, President of MIRO Technologies
San Diego. "AuRA now becomes accessible and affordable to
a new and growing segment of the aviation market, who right now
have a limited choice of very small and out-dated IT systems. We
have strong partners in MainTrack and T-Systems and the early interest
in the ASP option has been extremely encouraging. AuRA is a fully
integrated software solution, covering all aspects of maintenance
and supply for airlines and third-party maintenance providers. AuRA
helps streamline aviation business processes and tackles some of
the most complex challenges facing maintenance operations. Our software
is completely customizable and can be tailored to meet most organizational
requirements."
Robert Kok, Managing Partner and one of the founders of MainTrack
said, "This offering to the airline market is ground-breaking.
Our strategy is to offer virtually everything an airline
needs from an IT perspective, from MRO to reservations, finance,
operations, crewing, check-in and more. With T-Systems, we now offer
all these services for a flat monthly fee, with minimum, one-time
set-up cost. Companies who could not afford the capital investment
for a state-of-the-art MRO solution can now access the same systems
used by the larger airlines without a large capital investment.
It is a WIN-WIN situation for all parties. We take care of the technology,
IT management and support tasks and let the airline and maintenance
facilities focus on what they do best – managing the airline."
"We selected MIRO Technologies after an exhaustive
evaluation of all the available aviation MRO software packages.
Having discounted older packages and ones that lacked the breadth
and depth of AuRA. MIRO Technologies offered us significant advantages in
technology, functional richness, and company strength and stability."
