Press Release
MIRO Announces AuRA™ Version 2005
La Jolla, CA – June 23, 2005
MIRO Technologies announced today the release of AuRA™ Version
2005, which incorporates 171 modifications and represents over 5,000
man-hours of new development, is currently being installed at customer
sites in a phased approach. This latest AuRA release includes 65
enhancements, all of which are available to the growing list of
AuRA customers worldwide.
The most significant enhancements incorporated
into AuRA v2005 include:
- Actual Structure view. The Actual Structure
view includes a new feature to mass update the ‘when-due’
settings for all Tasks on an aircraft. This functionality is intended
for use on newly acquired aircraft. Various fail-safes are included
to prevent accidental execution.
- Maintenance Programs desktop. This release
also benefits from a reworked Maintenance Programs desktop that
allows for the definition of Serial Effectivity for a Default
Work Order relating to a particular Task.
- Work Package Execution desktop. The Work Package
Execution desktop can now automatically retrieve assigned work
for the current user immediately upon executing this screen. This
only occurs if the current user actually has any unsatisfied Work
Orders assigned.
- Component Install. AuRA v2005 has enhanced
the Component Install process to provide the capability to automatically
reset specified TS Types at time of install. A new business rule
has been introduced whereby the customer can identify all the
TS Types that should be reset at install time.
- System Codes desktop. AuRA v2005 includes an
enhanced System Codes desktop to allow de-activation of certain
reference codes.
- Replenishment Server. MIRO has now improved
the Replenishment Server process to support an alternate method
of computing excess when determining whether or not to reserve
and transfer excess material to satisfy a Replenishment Request
from another location. This allows customers to decide whether
'due-in' requisitions should be considered in the current balance
when computing the excess.
- Work Package Tally Sheet. The WP Tally Sheet
was enhanced to operate like JIC documents, such that each customer
can develop a customized Tally document.
- Maintenance Worksheet. The Maintenance Worksheet
has been enhanced so that the user can instigate a change to the
ILS Category Rating of the aircraft. When performed in this manner,
the Work Order is also captured for display on the Model Details
desktop. The ILS Cat Rating is also shown on the Model Status
Board and can be updated on the Model Details.
- JIC Printing. The JIC Print process has benefited
from several new tokens.
Other AuRA desktops improved in this new release include: Engineering
Orders, Deferment Management, Inventory Details, Work Order Inquiry,
Structure Receiving, Structure Remove & Install, Post Flight
Details and Parts Catalog.
Developed specifically to meet the needs of the commercial airline
and third party MRO market, AuRA is a fully integrated solution,
covering all the aspects of both maintenance and supply. AuRA streamlines
aviation business processes and tackles some of the most complex
challenges facing maintenance operations, such as configuration
management, thus helping airline operators to improve productivity,
reduce costs and turn-times and enable better decision-making.
