Miro Technologies, a leading provider of advanced solutions for aftermarket logistics, maintenance and supply management, announced today that it has signed a five-year Software License and Service Agreement with The Boeing Company. The agreement provides Boeing Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) with license rights to Miro's GOLDesp™ product line for use as a common system across base maintenance and repair, depot maintenance and modification, refurbishment and retrofit operations. GOLD is currently used by Boeing to support Contractor Logistics Support and Performance-Based Logistics programs including C-17, AH-64D, F/A-18, F-15,E-4B,T-43, CH-47, V-22, KC-135, KC-10, C-130, and B-1B.

"This new agreement continues a long-standing business relationship with Boeing," said Vincent Monteparte, CEO and President of Miro Technologies. "We look forward to working with Boeing over the next five years as they integrate our GOLDesp software into their maintenance and logistics operations."

The GOLD software package used is a major Lean-operations tool used by Boeing to improve the aircraft overhaul business performed by IDS Global Services & Support (GS&S). It integrates inventory databases with shop floor management programs, allowing them to work together as a total enterprise package and eliminating paper-dependent processes. MIRO will be converting the GOLD software related to this Lean system over to its GOLDesp product.
