AuRA goes live at SriLankan Airlines

La Jolla, CA, USA – October 03, 2008

Miro Technologies® announced today the successful rollout of an enterprise-wide AuRA™ solution at SriLankan Airlines. The AuRA suite consisting of the Enterprise Management and Business Intelligence modules, as well as modules for Maintenance, Engineering and Materials Management, was installed throughout SriLankan's Maintenance and Engineering department.

The AuRA project implementation was completed in less than six months, following an extensive in-house evaluation by the airline of AuRA’s system capabilities. The first ‘live’ AuRA transactions were posted on April 1st, following a well-coordinated implementation effort that SriLankan supported with a dedicated, cross-functional team from its IT Business Systems and Maintenance and Engineering departments.

Working closely with Miro’s implementation manager, the SriLankan team was able to consolidate within AuRA over 100,000 inventory records, 3,000 outstanding Purchase and Repair Orders, and four aircraft logical configurations and associated records for their fleet of fourteen Airbus aircraft.  An incremental conversion process was employed as the team migrated data from local spreadsheets and their legacy Maxi-Merlin mainframe system. Individual AuRA modules were brought online as each was configured and validated.
