Press Release Miro Announces GOLD Version 2006
La Jolla, CA, USA – March 06, 2006
Miro Technologies announced today the latest release of GOLD™, its award-winning, flagship software
application. GOLD Version 2006, which incorporates 45 modifications and represents over 15,000 man-hours
of new development, is currently being installed at customer sites in a phased approach. This latest GOLD
release further strengthens Miro’s position as the leading aftermarket software solution provider for
repair, maintenance, remanufacturing, and refurbishment of sophisticated equipment and systems in the
aerospace & defense market.
The most significant benefits accruing from the new features incorporated into GOLD v2006 include:
- Improved data exchange with external purchasing systems
The GOLD Purchase Order API was expanded to include a new series of tables designed to pass additional
data between GOLD and external purchasing systems.
- Asset-related transactions now optimized
Two modifications were implemented on the GOLD Transaction API to enhance its overall usefulness. The first
modification involves the addition of four new Asset-related transactions. The second modification adds
Location and Sub-Location updates to reserved ITEM records.
- Enhanced Replenishment Report enables improved handling of CAP Orders
The Replenishment Report has been greatly enhanced with new processes and more criteria options to support
creation and management of CAP (Contractor Acquired Property) Orders.
- Password Security upgraded to better support Sarbanes-Oxley
The existing GOLD password security has been modified to better support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002
security requirements.
- Additional documents and formats now supported by new MILS Requisitioner
Requisitioner MILS business rules have been modified to permit processing AB1 documents, thus allowing
updating the estimated shipping dates on MILS orders (instead of sending the AB1 documents to MILS Suspense).
Also, the MILS Extract Report has been changed to handle variable length formats for the internal file
extract.
- Receipt transactions improved with new Item barcode printer label
A new barcode printer label has been created to print unit container information on the Intermec 3400
barcode label printer. This label will be used when performing receipt transactions, such as planned and
unplanned receipts, including receipts to suspense.
- Various Contractor Inventory Control Point (C-ICP) MILS enhancements
New transactions have been added or enhanced, including Air Force Readiness Based Levels for consumable
items and automatic direct shipment from repair vendors. In addition, the Military Shipping Label (DD
Form 1387) has been revised to comply with new 2D barcode requirements.
