New hires bolster Miro ranks in La Jolla and Yeovil
Alex Berzins rejoined Miro as a Sr. Program
Consultant earlier this year. He returns to Miro from IBM, where he worked as a Sr.
Project Manager implementing Logistics and IT solutions for Federal Government Programs.
He led the development of the Navy’s “One Touch Support” system which
provides a real-time access to over 35 Navy and DoD logistics data sources. While
supporting the Air Force Purchasing & Supply Chain Management re-engineering
initiative, he was responsible for developing key policy, guidance, and training for the
implementation of Performance Based Logistics. Prior to IBM, Alex served as a Supply
Corps officer in the U.S. Navy.
Robert Rhea joined Miro as an A & D Program Manager in the
ISG team in La Jolla. Robert has over twelve years experience supporting U.S. Military
MRO operations in a variety of positions, including his most recent experience at Pratt
& Whitney where he was a Group Manager for Military Customer Support & Warranty.
In that role he supervised a team responsible for Designing, Developing, and Implementing
IT solutions in both the company’s SAP R/3 system as well as stand alone e-business
applications. Prior to joining P&W, Robert was a Lead Engineer for Advanced Attack
Helicopters at DynCorp.
Steve Puscar also recently joined Miro as an A & D Program
Manager on the ISG team. Steve, a 1998 graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy with a degree
in Mechanical Engineering, spent seven years as a Navy officer working as an aviation
maintenance manager. He was involved in the planning and logistics of introducing
Sikorsky’s new MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter to the Navy’s inventory and
developing many of its maintenance and training programs.
Jeff Claybaugh has joined Miro as an Installation and Revision
Control Specialist in Deployment Services in La Jolla. Jeff’s IT experience includes
working for IslandData Corp, Cybercamps, and SmithMicro Software in various technical
positions, as an IT director and hardware/software QA specialist. He also comes from a
musical background, having gradated from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelors
degree from the Conservatory of Music.
Sal Anthony rejoined Miro as a Business Analyst for the Support
Services team earlier this year. He returns to Miro after serving Booz Allen Hamilton as
a Senior Consultant. As part of the Training and Technologies team he led the effort on
developing Naval Training Support Plans and supported multiple tasks in the arena of
curriculum development. Prior to Sal’s original service with Miro, he served for
20 years in the United States Submarine Force in the Supply/Logistics field.
Richard Hopkins has joined Miro as A & D European Sales Manager
based in Yeovil, UK. Richard brings 34 years of Aerospace & Defence experience, the
majority of which has been successfully spent in developing international business for
companies such as Smiths Industries, Thorn A & D, Woodward Aircraft Controls and Bristow
Helicopters. Prior to this, he served in the Royal Air Force. Richard is now looking forward
to developing new opportunities by helping customers to find innovative aftermarket logistics
solutions.
