MIRO appoints CTO, Realigns ISG

MIRO Technologies recently announced the appointment of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and realignment of the Implementation Support Group (ISG) responsible for project management, product training, data conversion and customer support. The organizational changes put into place will strengthen MIRO’s ability to meet customer needs for intelligent maintenance and logistics software and services.

The ISG realignment creates three separate functional lines, including Support Services, A&D (GOLD) Project Management and Commercial (AuRA) Project Management.

New CTO Paul Extance will be responsible for the future direction of MIRO’s product suite, including all three product lines deployed (GOLD, AuRA and WRAM). Extance joined Spirent Systems in 1995 and has held the position of Research & Development Manager since 2000.

Ralph Evans was promoted to the new position of Manager, Support Services with responsibility for the Customer Support and Product Test Groups. Evans joined the company in 1998 and has managed the Product Test Group since 2000.

Catherine Dowdle continues to lead the A&D Project Management team in La Jolla and be responsible for GOLD deployments. Dowdle joined the company in 1994 and has held progressively responsible positions, including Program Manager and Director, A&D Business Unit.

John Hancock currently heads up MIRO’s Yeovil, UK operations and will now also manage the Commercial Project Management team for worldwide AuRA implementations. Hancock has over 25 years direct maintenance and engineering experience, including positions within line and heavy maintenance organizations as well as quality departments.
