Freedom Technologies Logo

Freedom Technologies is a complete identification, tracking, and data management solution provider. Since 1991, Freedom Technologies has been implementing turn-key traceability solutions which provide total asset visibility resulting in increased efficiency, accuracy and, profitability. This is in part achieved by utilizing a UII (Unique Item Identifier) in the form of a 2D data matrix. The 2D data matrix permanently marked on items provides the capability to retain lifecycle data of an item from acquisition to disposal.

Miro Technologies and Freedom work together to collect and retain lifecycle data and utilize the information for maintenance and supply intelligence. Together, we work to improve maintenance efficiency and asset utilization, optimize support chain management, maximize mission readiness, and reduce sustainment costs through Total Asset Visibility. Additionally, GOLDesp users now have UID registry and WAWF submission capabilities as required by MIL-STD 130. For more information, please visit www.freedomcorp.com

GOLD auto-replenishment implemented for HIOS

Miro Technologies announced today the successful implementation of GOLD™ automated replenishment at RAF Lyneham in support of the Hercules Integration Operational System (HIOS). RAF Lyneham, located in Wiltshire, England, is the home of UK military air transport operations and a fleet of fifty C-130 aircraft.

The HIOS Supply Chain Management Team successfully initiated the automated replenishment of the RAF Lyneham Forward Store utilizing the GOLD Asset Management System replenishment process. This new capability enabled RAF Lyneham to transition from a forecast-based 'push' methodology of replenishing inventory to a 'pull-based' methodology triggered by the actual consumption of inventory by the RAF. The GOLD Asset Management System continually monitors inventory consumption at point-of-use and automatically creates replenishment demands when items fall below their minimum stock level. This process helps ensure optimal fill levels of critical inventory items while at the same time eliminating overstock situations.

Miro Technologies is under contract with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LMA) to support the implementation of the GOLD software application and also to assist Lockheed Martin UK, the party responsible for IT support of the HIOS program. HIOS is managed under the LMA Global Sustainment Architecture that uses the GOLD software application.
