AuRA Customers Meet in La Jolla

AuRA™ customers participating in the annual AuRA User Group Conference held in La Jolla on May 2 – 3 gained new insights behind the application logic and identified ways to benefit, all while having a great time and networking with other AuRA users! The conference format this year, which featured six 'functional AuRA workshops' and presentations from Miro managers and a major AuRA customer airline, facilitated the interactive meetings everyone wanted. Feedback from the attendees gave the conference high marks for organization, format, presentations and venue. All meetings were held at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa.

Ralph Evans & Mike BeckerDay one of the conference featured presentations by Miro staff on the company's strategic focus, functionality enhancements, implementation, deployment, support and technology evolution. Miro's president, Vincent Monteparte, described the company's vision and mission, outlined the significant events of the past year, and set the pace for the conference. Three AuRA functional workshops were held in the afternoon. To end the day, Miro sponsored a gala evening reception and dinner at Ham's Lighthouse on Harbor Island. [The photo from Day 1 events shows Ralph Evans and Mike Becker preparing their remarks.]

AuRA Customer MeetingThe highlight of Day two activities for many was the presentation conducted by Ron Washington, Information Technology Manager for ExpressJet, on the recent successful 'go-live' of AuRA. Ron's agenda slot was expanded by an hour to accommodate numerous questions from the conference attendees. Three additional AuRA functional workshops were held on day two, along with the traditional customer caucus and customer feedback sessions. Miro sponsored an outdoor reception on the grounds of the Estancia to close the event. [The photo from the Day 2 reception shows Mike Becker 'holding forth' with colleagues Vince Monteparte, Dave Purfurst and Ian Westley of Lockheed Martin UK].

AuRA customers that were unable to attend this year's event can obtain a CD that documents all Conference presentations simply by contacting your Miro customer support person.

UK MoD Accepts WRAM Online

Vince & Ian WakelingMiro Technologies recently announced an on-time and under budget delivery of its new WRAM™ Online system to the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). Miro's JAVA-based Work Recording & Asset Management was accepted by the MoD for immediate use on the Apache Attack Helicopter fleet only ten months from contract award. The new generation application will provide users, who currently manage nearly 600 military Rotary Wing aircraft for the Royal Navy and Army (and soon the RAF as well) with the existing WRAM application, a totally new GUI that promises improved user productivity, reduced training and closer integration with OEMs in Depth maintenance areas.

"The WRAM Online application has been successfully developed as a collaborative project between the MoD and Miro Technologies during the past 10 months. The successful delivery of WRAM Online to time and cost has been a truly remarkable achievement against demanding timescales and has enabled the convergence of all Army and Navy Engineering & Asset Management activity onto a single, fully deployable system," said Captain Terry O'Reilly, Team Leader of Data Services Rotary Wing which operates within the Defence Logistics Organization (DLO), a tri-service unit that integrates Britain's Army, Navy and Air Force logistics support.
