SriLankan Airlines selects Miro's AuRA system
Miro Technologies announced today that SriLankan Airlines has selected the Miro AuRA™
software suite to replace the legacy system in use at SriLankan today. In an initiative to modernize
its IT systems for Maintenance and Materials Management, SriLankan will take delivery of an
enterprise-wide AuRA solution consisting of the Enterprise Management and Business Intelligence
modules, as well as modules for Maintenance, Engineering and Materials Management.
"SriLankan had a need to update its maintenance IT systems to streamline its Maintenance
& Engineering processes. AuRA offered the functionality and well designed implementation
methodology to meet this requirement," said Kamal Nanayakkara, Head of IT at SriLankan.
"The introduction of AuRA will significantly strengthen the ability of SriLankan to
achieve the highest level of safety and reliability at reasonable costs, and to maintain its
commitment to high quality service," said Capt. Richard (Dick) Hutton, Chief Technical Officer
of SriLankan Airlines.
"Miro is pleased to be working with SriLankan to enhance their maintenance and materials
management capabilities using Miro's AuRA software," said Vincent Monteparte, Miro's President.
"The AuRA implementation at SriLankan will demonstrate Miro's ability to provide a modern aviation
maintenance system for airlines of all sizes in India and throughout Asia."

ExpressJet Airlines implements AuRA™
ExpressJet recently implemented Miro Technologies' AuRA™ system to manage maintenance
of its 260 plus regional jets, build foundation for eventual improved efficiency, contain inventory
costs, provide better financial reporting, and maintain the reliability of operations. ExpressJet
Airlines, Inc., based in Houston, operates as Continental Express, the regional jet provider for
Continental Airlines.
The full AuRA suite went live at ExpressJet in July, 2005. Over 1,500 active users to
support more than 260 aircraft at 15 bases now use AuRA. Over 100,000 tasks are now tracked in AuRA,
with over 8,000 transactions written daily to the database and approximately 300 installs/removals daily.
Commenting on the recent implementation of Miro's AuRA MRO software, Dale Darcy, Staff V.P.
Maintenance at ExpressJet Airlines said, "ExpressJet's launch of AuRA is a significant milestone for
our company and our entire maintenance organization. Our ability to track the maintenance, components
and inventory for a fleet of 260 plus aircraft that fly over 1,400 flights each day is a testament to
the capabilities and integration nature of the software."
Although various business and system processes are still being ironed out, ExpressJet believes
that once AuRA stabilizes through this final implementation phase, it will be able to rely on AuRA for
ensuring airworthiness and optimal flight availability throughout the equipment's life cycle.
Additionally, ExpressJet, through continuing partnership with Miro, believes that AuRA will provide
total asset visibility with tools for end item configuration management, repair management and
recording, inventory and material management, materials replenishment and asset tracking. AuRA
can enable ExpressJet aircraft maintenance technicians to be more efficient, it will also help
operators to tackle complex challenges such as comprehensive configuration management, work order
execution, equipment/part reliability and advanced technical records management and task management.

GOLD™ Software Implemented for U.S. Air Force 'Sensor' Program
Miro Technologies' GOLD™ software was recently successfully implemented by ITT Industries' Systems
Division in Colorado Springs, CO to provide logistics support to the U.S. Air Force's Electronic Systems Center System
Engineering and Sustainment Integrator (SENSOR). ITT Industries is the prime contractor for SENSOR.
GOLD was selected by ITT for its robust inventory management and repair tracking capabilities and ability
to communicate seamlessly with DOD legacy supply systems, like the USAF Standard Base Supply System. GOLD is a
Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product, representing Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry best-practice
processes in a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) environment. It allows a contractor to support an installed weapons
system by acting as a Contractor Inventory Control Point (C-ICP). GOLD now supports 15 of 18 USAF Contractor Supported
Weapons System (CSWS) today.
"We are thrilled about the selection of our GOLD software by ITT," said Vince Monteparte, President of Miro
Technologies. "This selection solidifies our standing as the system of choice when it comes to managing these Air
Force Contractor Supported Weapons Systems. We're very proud of our reputation with the Air Force and their
contractors."
"ITT recognized GOLD software as an extremely powerful and versatile tool for managing CSWS logistics data
relating to item-management responsibilities," said SENSOR Program Director Ken Nachbar. "GOLD software enables ITT
to exchange essential logistics data with government agencies in standard DoD formats. The GOLD suite of logistics
software has clearly enhanced support to our customers, the Air Force Electronic Systems Command, and Air Force Space
Command" said Nachbar.

Miro Technologies joins JBoss Certified Partner program
Miro Technologies announced recently that it has joined the JBoss® Certified Partner program. As a
certified solutions partner, Miro is using the open source JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite (JEMS™) to support
ongoing J2EE business application development on behalf of its aerospace and defense customers.
The adoption of JBoss JEMS is expected to generate costs savings for Miro in the IT environment, and
greater value for Miro's customer base as it rules out the need for expensive third-party middleware when
implementing new Miro products. Small and mid-sized customers that adopt GOLD™ or WRAM™ solutions can use
JEMS as a backbone to develop other applications.
Miro also sees benefits in terms of architectural control and flexibility. With open source software,
Miro developer's have total access to the code, which they can fix or maintain the code as necessary without
outside intervention.
"The introduction of JEMS will extend the current J2EE development environment used by Miro," stated
Miro CTO Paul Extance. "Miro architects and developers will now have the full support of JBoss and its network
when determining which open source components get included within the corporate architecture, and how they are
best used." he continued. "The JBoss JEMS platform provides much of the core architecture we need with the
flexibility to extend the code base for specific needs. Professional open source is the best way to achieve this
level of quality and flexibility and at no additional cost to our customers."
"We're pleased to have Miro on board as a certified solutions partner," said Tom Cooper, vice president
of JBoss worldwide channels. "With its history and traction in aerospace and defense, Miro will be invaluable in
helping extend JEMS solutions into those key markets. We look forward to working with Miro to ensure optimal
performance between JEMS and GOLD and WRAM Online."

Miro Customer Support Zone Upgraded
Customers may now take advantage of new features and content available on the
Miro Customer Support Zone found on the Miro web site at
www.mirotechnologies.com. New content for
GOLD customers includes the new "GOLD Release Notes Web Help" and "GOLD Product Overview"
sections. Web Help provides the ability to analyze the contents of all versions of the
GOLD application release notes utilizing a powerful new search engine embedded in the
system. GOLD Release Notes have been created over several years, beginning with the GOLD
version 6.8.2 release. Each set of release notes explains a new or revised functionality
in the GOLD product and provides detailed guidance on how to make use of the improved or
new elements. This Web Help project allows you to fully utilize the knowledge available
in the GOLD Release Notes. You may view all the topics in the Contents pane, or
search for a particular topic using the Index or Search panes.
Other improvements now include the "Upcoming Product Modifications" and
"Resolutions of Known Issues." The Upcoming Product Modifications posting provides a
list of all modifications that will be included in the GOLD2006-MR (Main Release). The
Resolutions of Known Issues posting provides a list of resolved issues related to the
following GOLD releases: 2005-MR, 2006-PR1, 2006-PR2 and 2006-PR3.
Similar features and content are also available on the Miro Customer Support
Zone for AuRA customers. Additionally, AuRA customers can now download files from a new
