Scope

To work as a member of the Deployment Services team who deal with the Installation, Support and Configuration Management of the MIRO Technologies product lines. This role is with the Configuration Management side of the Department

Responsibilities

• Running and confirming configuration management processes to move components through the product life cycle.
• General maintenance of configuration management process tools.
• Creating and maintaining UNIX and Windows InstallShield update and install scripts.
• Producing clear and concise documentation of processes and procedures

Education and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have some or all of the following qualifications and experience.

• Working knowledge or experience with the following:
  • General Programming (2+ years preferred)
    • Experience with Java, C/C++, Perl, Unix Shell scripting a plus
    • Ant Build experience, CruiseControl
  • Configuration Management
    • Core concepts, Product Life Cycle, Build Environments
    • Version Control CVS/SVN and Bugzilla experience, repository management a plus
  • Basic Oracle Experience ? SQL and PL/SQL
  • Unix Experience
    • Specific knowledge of HPUX, Solaris and/or Linux a plus
    • Comfortable working in a shell environment
    • System Administration experience a plus
  • Windows Experience
    • 9x, NT, 2000, XP, 2003
    • System Administration experience a plus
  • Experience with any of the follow a plus
    • JBoss, Tomcat, Apache Installation and Configuration
• Ability to write clear documentation
  • Install Guides, Process Documentation & Deployment Diagrams
• Commitment to doing the best job possible, sometimes despite tough deadlines.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work in a team, to be flexible, when necessary, but the ability to remain focussed in the task in hand.
