Instructor

General Description

Responsible for automated logistical software training. Develops and modifies lesson plans, coordinates training aids and student scheduling. Serves as a primary instructor for SAMS-E / IE functional and technical courses covering Maintenance Management, Production Control. Supply Management and System Administration. Assists team members during data conversion to include collecting historical data files and initial system configuration. May supervise other subcontractors and independent consultants supporting the fielding initiative. A wide degree of creativity, flexibility and latitude is expected. Other tasks as assigned. More than 50% travel required.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment and Conditions

  • Ability to maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time as required by preparing and analyzing data, figures, computer terminals, etc.
  • Ability to operate necessary office equipment, computer software, hardware and equipment.
  • Ability to perform the following physical activities, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, talking and hearing.
  • Requires working in both internal and external environments subject to variation in temperature. Physical requirements of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
  • Significant travel is required.

Work experience requirements

  • Previous/significant time with US Army Logistics systems
  • At least five years experience dealing directly with military customers and management
  • SAMS-E or SAMS-IITDA experience a plus

Education Requirements

  • College degree preferred but not a disqualifier
  • Excellent business, writing and communication skills
